I took E to Story time at Barnes and Noble at Lynnhaven today. After storytime, the group of girls and kiddos ventured up to the play area. Since E has been super clingy, he didn't play all that much, but he did get on a few slides, and ran around a bit.
As he was climbing up a slide, a mother (at least I'm guessing she was the kid's mom) takes her kid and plops him on the slide right in front of E. Last time I checked, I thought we should be teaching our kids manners and how to wait your turn...apparently she was a bit impatient.
Who does this???? It took all I had in me not to haul off and slap some sense into her. It's no wonder that you see so many rude kids running around these places...their parent's haven't got any manners themselves!!!

Dang..some people..I'm sorry Melissa..you probably remained much more calm than I would have.
Some people have no manners whatsoever and it is a shame when they pass that on to their kids. Either they don't get the fact that we have to start teaching our kids right from wrong very young(because they can and do pick it up, even when they are just crawling) or they are just not aware of how obnoxious and rude they are. Sorry you had to deal with that but I think most of us have at some point, more than once probably. At least you did hold your cool though. After all, you don't know her or her kid so you probably will not see them again. Someone should put the woman in her place though, or her child will grow up to be just as bad as her.
