What's wrong with me?

I slept maybe 3 hours last night. Ethan slept wonderfully. We put him to bed at 8...gave him oragel, Motrin, and a bottle, and he slept all night. I went to bed....put my ear plugs in just in case....and I laid in bed wide awake until almost 1am. Then Beau's alarm went off....so I didn't go back to sleep. I swear I dread going to bed every night. I lay there and I know Beau is asleep within 5 minutes.  I need to find some kind of routine to make myself sleep....I can't keep taking things to help me sleep.

A warm bath and a glass of wine? I know that could be called "taking something," but it sure is relaxing!!! And if you aren't opposed to supplements, melatonin (you can get it at GNC and maybe even Wal-Mart) will help. It is what naturally occurs in your body to make you sleep. You may not be producing enough. I'm not a doctor, so I don't know, but melatonin was the only thing that got me through some serious insomnia in college. But I think the wine and warm bath would be the way to go ;) And you can always bring me E and take a nap...

I was going to come on here and suggest melatonin, but I see Lori beat me to it! Take one or two and hour or so before you want to go to sleep and by the time you hit the pillow you will be asleep! But it is not something that you want to take on a very regular basis.

I hope it gets better for you!!
